Paper Flower Guide
Create your own everlasting floral arrangement with paper
Stem
Step 1:
Starting from the corner, roll the green paper tightly to create a straw like shape. Pro-tip:use the brush to help roll an even stem.
Step 2:
Trace and cut leaf shapes on the thick green paper.
Leaf 1:
Apply glue to the base of the leaf and wrap around the stem.
Leaf 2:
Apply glue to the base of these leaves and tuck inside the stem.
Rose
Step 1:
Start with 3 pieces of red paper and use the stencil to trace and cut out 5 circles.
Step 2:
Fold each of the circles in half 3 times.
Step 3:
Round the edges and trim the pointed tips of the petals.
Step 4:
Unfold the circles.
Step 5:
Follow the folded crease lines and cut out the following groups of petals from the circles. Set the 5th flower aside.
Step 6:
Cut along one of the crease lines on the 5th full flower without removing any petals.
Step 7:
Using the brush, apply glue on one side of the cut you just made. Glue this to the backside of the petal on the otherside of the cut.
Step 8:
Repeat this step for the rest of the petals. Pro-tip: Roll the double and single petals to create a cone-like shape.
Step 9:
To build your rose, layer the pieces you constructed in size order and secure them with glue. When the glue dries, using the brush, gently curl the edges of each petal.
Step 10:
Trim the base of the flower and glue to the stem.
Carnation
Step 1:
Start with 3 pieces of blue paper and 1 piece of yellow paper.
Step 2:
Trace and cut out the small rectangle stencil on the yellow paper.
Step 3:
Fold in half twice horizontally.
Step 4:
Make vertical cuts along the bottom edge, then unfold.
Step 5:
Trace and cut out 6 circles on the blue paper.
Step 6:
Draw a smaller circle with approximately 6 cm / 2.25" diameter on each and fold in half twice.
Step 7:
Make vertical cuts along the rounded side, up to the drawn edge. Trim the pointed tip. Unfold and repeat for all other circles.
Step 8:
Create the center by applying glue along the uncut edge of the yellow strip of paper. Then, wrap the entire piece around the tip of the stem with cut edges facing up.
Step 9:
One by one, layer each of the 6 carnation pieces around the yellow center to build the flower shape and secure with glue.
Lavender
Step 1:
Start with 1 piece of purple paper.
Step 2:
Trace and cut the larger rectangle stencil on the purple paper.
Step 3:
Fold the rectangle in half vertically, and secure with glue along the edge.
Step 4:
Make vertical cuts halfway through the rectangle
along the folded edge, approximately 2 mm apart.
Step 5:
Apply glue to the uncut edge of the rectangle and begin wrapping this piece around the tip of the stem diagonally in a downward motion. Glue the last bit to close the flower shape. Secure edges to prevent unraveling.
Lily
Step 1:
Start with 2 pieces of pink paper and 1 piece of yellow paper.
Step 2:
Trace and cut out pointed flower shape 4 times on the pink paper.
Step 3:
Fold each flower in half 2 times and trim the pointed tip. Unfold.
