Why do I not have enough thread for my embroidery kit?

Our embroidery kits contain enough thread to complete the pattern, but if you're running out of thread, try the following tips:

1. Separate each thread color into smaller bundles before you begin. Each bundle should contain 1-2 threads.

2. Make sure your stitches are tight enough so there aren't any gaps. Don't pull too hard!

3. When completing a section, cut and tie off the thread instead of running it behind the pattern.

  • The embroidery kit instructions tell you that a good amount to use is 2 to 3 threads, not one to two. Nowhere in the instructions it says you should be using 1 to 2 threads. It even says you can use any amount of threads. I used the recommended 3 threads and now I am short. I would really either request a refund or extra thread to finish my embroidery. A third possibility would be instead of a refund to transfer 4 euro's to me because i was able to colour match every numbered thread included in the kit to the exact brand they are from: DMC. With the 4 euro's I will be able to order the extra thread I need myself.

  • I have the same problem as Yentl. I run out of threads because I used three like it was adviced. Now I'm frustrated that I can't finish my first ever cross stitch 😞
